Mark Treadwell

Mark Treadwell - Internationally renowned speaker who has consistently predicted many of the education trends that school systems are experiencing now. In order to achieve lifelong learning capability for learners, educators need to form new understandings around curriculum, assessment and e-learning environments and weld these into a framework which we can manage and implement over a number of years. Mark's keynote introduces this paradigm shift and the resulting second renaissance to demonstrate how each of the elements relate to each other to provide a seamless new paradigm for education.


Trudy Sweeney

Presentation

Dr Trudy Sweeney - Lecturer of Digital Media at Flinders University, South Australia. Trudy's research is concerned with the use of digital media on teaching and learning, particularly in terms of leadership, organisational change and pedagogy. Trudy's keynote reflects her current research projects, including how interactive whiteboards can be used as a catalyst for building professional learning communities and pedagogic change and the delivery of ICT learning using contemporary learning environments.




Sylvia Corish

Presentation

Dr Sylvia Corish - School Education Director, Connected Classrooms Program. Sylvia is an experienced principal and School Education Director now seconded as the Learning Tools Business Project Manager for the Connected Classrooms Program for 2009. In her substantive position Sylvia is responsible for Sydney Region's only non-geographic network of schools - Network 8. These schools all share a common interest in action learning and the application of information communication technologies to enhance student and staff learning outcomes. Sylvia's keynote provides an overview of the Department's directions in utilising technology to enhance student learning outcomes and the practical applications this has for schools and teachers.


Peter Blasina

Presentation

Peter Blasina - Technology presenter and media commentator. Peter's main area of interest is the impact technology is having on businesses and their customers, researching and reviewing the latest market dynamics, developments and trends in the converging area of information technology and broadcast media. Often called upon as an industry spokesperson because of his in-depth knowledge and incisive understanding of the technology industry, Peter is recognised as one of Australia's foremost commentators on technology developments. Peter's keynote provides an insight into technology in the global business place and the implications this has for educating students today.
